AIRCRAFT INSPECTOR

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. the sister company of PlaneSense, Inc., located in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking an Aircraft Inspector. 

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. is a Pilatus authorized fleet service and support center for the PlaneSense fractional fleet of Pilatus PC-12s and Pilatus PC-24s. As an FAA certified Part 145 repair station, we specialize in PC-12, PC-24, and Nextant 400XTi support, including turbine aircraft repairs, inspections, and Avionics sales and repair service. With the introduction of jets and the steady growth of our fractional program, this is a great time to join our team!

The Aircraft Inspector ensures the safety and airworthiness of all aircraft by conducting the proper inspections in accordance with applicable technical data, industry standards, and procedures contained in the Atlas Aircraft Repair Station Manual.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Ensure comprehension of assigned task(s) before initiating the inspection. If necessary communicate concerns or questions with the Chief Inspector.

  1. All Inspectors must be listed and properly authorized on the Repair Station Personnel Roster contained in the Repair Station General Information File.
  2. Perform all inspections (including RII) in accordance with applicable technical data, industry standards, and procedures contained in the Atlas Aircraft Repair Station Manual.
  3. Perform inspections with the highest quality of workmanship avoiding any act which may endanger personnel or cause damage to equipment and articles.
  4. Perform all inspections using proper tools and equipment.
  5. Ensure all articles and materials used in the maintenance process are in an airworthy and serviceable condition.
  6. Ensure that calibrated tools used during the maintenance process have not surpassed their calibration cycle.
  7. Ensure that all parts and materials used in the maintenance process that contain a shelf life have not surpassed the manufacturer’s expiration limits; and that the proper documentation exists to provide traceability.
  8. Notify the Chief Inspector immediately of any condition that arises which might represent a problem or unsafe condition.
  9. Ensure Work Order forms are completed in accordance with the instructions contained in the Atlas Aircraft Repair manual.

Qualifications:

The Inspector must demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism and a positive attitude.

Education and/or Experience:

  • The Aircraft Inspector must hold a valid A&P License and have prior quality and inspection experience
  • IA Certificate Preferred
  • Company paid Pilatus and Pratt & Whitney training will be necessary for any candidate that performs these tasks.

A&P MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. (AAC) and sister company PlaneSense, Inc., (PSI) located in Portsmouth, NH seek Experienced and Entry-Level Aircraft Maintenance Technicians. Highly qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, but General Aviation experience preferred. A&P Certificate Required.

Responsibilities include repairing aircraft, aircraft engines, and aircraft components in accordance with applicable technical data, industry standards, and the Atlas Aircraft Center “Repair Station Manual.” Technicians need to have a good comprehension of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems. In addition, technicians should own and maintain sufficient hand tools to perform duties efficiently and effectively.

The work environment consists of a heated hangar, with occasional outdoor work. Technicians must have the availability to work nights, weekends and the infrequent day or overnight trips to other facilities to repair aircraft when needed. On the job training is provided by our experienced staff.

Training provided by Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. consists of extensive initial training to become familiar with both the AAC and the PlaneSense program. AAC technicians attend factory training with Pilatus, engine training with Pratt & Whitney, ongoing education through FAA-sponsored classes, component instruction, continuous on-the-job training, and more!

AIRCRAFT PARTS & INVENTORY ATTENDANT

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc., the sister company of PlaneSense, Inc., is seeking a full-time, entry-level Aircraft Parts & Inventory Attendant for its dynamic Parts Department.

The work shift is Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM-10:00 PM.

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. is the authorized, Pilatus approved, fleet service and support center for the PlaneSense® fractional fleet of Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft, in addition to being the home to the largest non-factory owned depot of Pilatus aircraft parts in the world. The Parts Department ensures that parts needed for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance are either immediately on hand, or can be obtained in minimum time as well as providing operational support 24/7 to the entire facility.

The Aircraft Parts & Inventory Attendant responsibilities include inventory reconciliation and issuing items and tools to appropriate departments.

Some related duties include:

  • Unloading shipments from delivery trucks
  • Processing of incoming receipts
  • Stocking and storing parts and other items
  • The work environment involves an indoor parts room with frequent trips to the aircraft hangar and outdoors for shipping and receiving.
  • Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs/ladders throughout the shift, willingness to become certified to drive a forklift, and have the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualified candidates should have prior work experience in:

  • Shipping and receiving (preferred)
  • Computer inventory management systems (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Hazmat training is a plus

Candidates must also have a valid driver’s license, and be able to obtain and maintain a Pease International Tradeport Security Badge.

AVIONICS TECHNICIAN

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc., the Pilatus authorized fleet service and support center for the PlaneSense® fractional fleet of PC-12s and PC-24s, is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician for its Avionics Department located in sales and income tax-free Portsmouth, NH.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in General Aviation Avionics and possess excellent troubleshooting skills in modern turbine powered aircraft.

Responsibilities include:
Installation and testing of aircraft electronics equipment and systems.

Regular duties consist of:

  • Fabrication, termination and testing of avionics system wiring harness, and the disassembly and reassembly of aircraft interior and instrument panels.
  • Technicians must have a good understanding of and be able to read wiring diagrams and other installation technical data.
  • Pitot/static experience preferred.
  • Airframe and Power Plant certificate preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills are required.

AVIONICS SYSTEM INTEGRATOR / LINE TECHNICIAN

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. is seeking an experienced Avionics System Integrator/Line Technician to join its team. This position is responsible for performing maintenance on the PlaneSense® fleet of Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft. Responsibilities include installation and testing of upgraded or exchange avionics. Ability to create or modify new or existing AutoCad schematics with direction from the Avionics Manager. Additional duties include aircraft database uploading and fault file downloading.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in General and/or Corporate Aviation avionics in modern turbine aircraft. (equivalent military experience will be considered)
  • Technicians must have a good understanding of and be able to read wiring diagrams and other installation technical data, as well as proper operation of avionics ramp testing equipment.
  • The Ideal candidate will have the ability to demonstrate system level integration of various manufactures.
  • This level of competency should also translate into excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Pitot/static experience preferred.
  • Airframe and Power Plant certificate preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills are also required.
